Grain Handling & Dryer Controls
ATOM supplied the control panel, programming and on-site commissioning for a grain-handling system in northern Alberta. The system includes truck unloading, grain storage, two distributors, a grain dryer and overhead truck-loading bins, powered by two generators.

Operators select a source and destination, and the controls coordinate the generators, motors, distributors and valves needed to move the grain. Radar sensors monitor bin levels, while load cells allow the overhead bins to be filled to a selected target weight.
Start and stop sequences allow equipment to clear between transfers. If an overload or conveyor safety switch trips, upstream equipment stops immediately while downstream equipment clears in sequence. Operators can monitor and control the system through the site’s local network.
